Whilst field curvature and a noticeable drop in resolution towards the corners were evident at close range, this lens appears to perform well for distant subjects. Performance remains consistently stable from the wide-open aperture of f/2.5, and it is capable of resolving fine details in 96MP high-resolution mode.
If there is one point to note, it is vignetting, which is not fully corrected even when the aperture is stopped down. Software-based correction or adjustment via the camera or image-processing software is required. Whilst this can generally be resolved through software correction, care must be taken as this may increase noise when using high ISO settings.
